Update (23.Mai 2023): Ab sofort ist das D-Ticket Upgrade zum VBN SemesterTicket mit Gültigkeit ab dem 01.06.2023 in der FahrPlaner-App erhältlich. Update (23 May 2023): The D-Ticket upgrade to the VBN SemesterTicket valid from 01.06.2023 is now available in the FahrPlaner app.  Update (17. Mai 2023): Der Verkehrsverbund Bremen/Niedersachsen (VBN) hat uns mitgeteilt, dass das D-Ticket Upgrade zum VBN SemesterTicket leider nicht wie geplant diese Woche (KW20) in der FahrPlaner App startet. Es wird jedoch davon ausgegangen, dass der Erwerb des Tickets in der FahrPlaner App ab KW21 möglich sein wird. Sobald es neue Informationen dazu gibt, halten wir euch hier auf dem Laufenden. Update (17 May 2023): The Verkehrsverbund Bremen/Niedersachsen (VBN) has informed us that the D-Ticket upgrade to the VBN SemseterTicket will unfortunately not be in the FahrPlaner App this week (week 20) as planned. Liebe Studierende,

Wie ihr bereits mitbekommen habt, startet ab dem 1. Mai 2023 das sogenannte Deutschlandticket (D-Ticket), welches in ganz Deutschland in allen Bussen, Bahnen und Zügen (2. Klasse) des ÖPNV gilt.

Nun haben sich die Verkehrsverbunde auf ein Verfahren für die Upgrademöglichkeit des Semestertickets auf das Deutschlandticket (D-Ticket) verständigt. So habt ihr die Möglichkeit, zum 1. Mai 2023 das D-Ticket für 16,60 Euro monatlich zu erwerben.

Folgende Optionen werden aktuell angeboten:

1. Als digitales Ticket in der FahrPlaner-App des VBN (ab dem 15. Mai).
2. Als digitales Ticket in der ‚ABOS IM VBN‘-App.
3. Als Chipkarte oder digitales Ticket bei der VWG über den Antrag im pdf-Format, zu finden auf vwg.de/Ticketinfos-Deutschland-Ticket.html. Das Abo-Portal kann dafür vorerst nicht genutzt werden. Die Buchung des Upgrade-Tickets über die Chipkarte ist nur bis zum 10. des jeweiligen Vormonats möglich. Für einen Abobeginn am 01.06.2023 ist das Stichdatum der 10.05.2023.

Hinweis:

Das Ticket ist nur in Verbindung mit einem VBN-SemesterTicket und nur in Verbindung mit einem gültigen, amtlichen Lichtbildausweis als Nachweis der Identität gültig. Der Kauf ist fakultativ, d.h. ihr könnt das Upgrade-Ticket bei Bedarf im Abo hinzukaufen. Es ist wie das Deutschland-Ticket monatlich kündbar.

FAQ

1. Ist die Upgrademöglichkeit des Semestertickets sofort buchbar?

Ja, die Upgrademöglichkeit des Semestertickets ist ab sofort buchbar. Ist die Nutzung einer Chipkarte gewünscht, muss die Beantragung des Tickets bis zum 10. des Vormonats erfolgt sein. Je nach Auswahl, erreicht euch die Chipkarte rechtzeitig kurz vor Beginn des Abos per Post oder das Ticket digital per Mail.

 

2. Wo finde ich den Antrag für die Chipkarte oder das digitale Ticket?

Die Chipkarte oder das digitale Ticket kann zunächst nur bei der VWG über einen pdf-Antrag (Formular SeTi Upgrade) beantragt werden. Der Link hierzu lautet: https://www.vwg.de//Ticketinfos-Deutschland-Ticket.html

 

3. Im Antrag für die Chipkarte oder das digitale Ticket ist eine Personalnummer gefragt. Was soll ich da angeben?

Hier handelt es sich um einen Fehler seitens des Verkehrsbundes, hier musst du nichts angeben.

 

4. Gibt es die Möglichkeit Fahrpreisermäßigungen (z.B. BahnCard-Rabatt) auf die Upgrademöglichkeit anzuwenden?

Weitere Fahrpreisermäßigungen (z.B. BahnCard-Rabatte) werden nicht gewährt.

 

5. Kann ich mit dem Deutschlandticket Züge der Produktklasse IC/EC/ICE nutzen?

Nein, der Übergang in den Zügen der Produktklasse IC/EC/ICE ist, auch gegen Zuzahlung, nicht möglich. Einzige Ausnahme: Auf der Strecke Bremen Hbf – Norddeich Mole/Emden Außenhafen darf der im Semesterticket enthaltende IC genutzt werden. 

 

6. Gelten für das Deutschlandticket dieselben Kindermitnahmereglungen wie das landesweite Semesterticket?

Wird der Geltungsbereich des landesweite Semestertickets verlassen, gelten die Kindermitnahmereglungen des D-Tickets. Das D-Ticket beinhaltet keine unentgeltliche Mitnahme von Personen über 6 Jahren.

 

7. Gelten für das Deutschlandticket dieselben Fahrradmitnahmereglungen wie das landesweite Semesterticket?

Sowohl im landesweiten Semesterticket als auch im D-Ticket ist die Fahrradmitnahme nicht enthalten. Für die Mitnahme eines Fahrrades ist also ein reguläres Fahrradkartenangebot zu erwerben, soweit die Fahrradmitnahme auf der jeweiligen Fahrt entgeltpflichtig ist.

Dear students,

As you have already heard, the so-called Deutschlandticket (D-Ticket), which is valid throughout Germany on all buses, trams and trains (2nd class) of the public transport system, will start on 1 May 2023.

The transport associations have now agreed on a procedure for upgrading the semester ticket to the Deutschlandticket (D-Ticket). Thus, you will have the opportunity to purchase the D-Ticket for 16.60 euros per month as of 1 May 2023.

The following options are currently offered:

1. As a digital ticket in the VBN FahrPlaner app (from 15 May).
2. As a digital ticket in the 'ABOS IM VBN' app.
3. As a chip card or digital ticket at VWG via the application in pdf format, to be found at vwg.de/Ticketinfos-Deutschland-Ticket.html. The Abo-Portal cannot be used for this purpose for the time being. The Upgrade Ticket via the chip card is only possible until the 10th of the respective previous month. For a subscription start on 01.06.2023, the cut-off date is 10.05.2023.

 

Notice:

The ticket is only valid in conjunction with a VBN-SemesterTicket and only in conjunction with a valid, official photo ID as proof of identity. The purchase is optional, i.e. you can buy the Upgrade-Ticket as a subscription if required. Like the Deutschland-Ticket, it can be cancelled monthly.

FAQ

1. can I book the upgrade option of the semester ticket immediately?

Yes, the upgrade option of the semester ticket can be booked immediately. If you would like to use a chip card, you must apply for the ticket by the 10th of the previous month. Depending on your choice, you will receive the chip card by post or the ticket digitally by email shortly before the start of the subscription.

 

2. Where can I find the application for the chip card or the digital ticket?

3. The application for the chip card or digital ticket asks for a personal number. What should I enter there?

However, this is an error on the part of the transport authority; you do not have to enter anything here.

 

4. Is it possible to apply fare reductions (e.g. BahnCard discount) to the Upgrade option?

No. Other fare reductions, such as a BahnCard discount, are not granted.

 

5. Can I use trains of the IC/EC/ICE product class with the Deutschlandticket?

No, the transfer in the trains of the product class IC/EC/ICE is not possible, even against additional payment. The only exception: On the route Bremen Hbf - Norddeich Mole/Emden Außenhafen, the IC included in the semester ticket may be used.

 

6. Do the same child transport regulations apply to the Deutschlandticket as to the nationwide semester ticket?

If you leave the area of validity of the nationwide semester ticket, the child transport regulations of the D-Ticket apply. The D-Ticket does not include free travel for persons over the age of 6.

 

7. Do the same bicycle transport regulations apply to the Deutschlandticket as to the nationwide semester ticket?

Neither the nationwide Semesterticket nor the D-Ticket include bicycle transport. To take a bicycle with you, you must therefore purchase a regular bicycle ticket, insofar as there is a charge for taking a bicycle on the respective journey.
